JPEx application documents and Materials

Separately certified items

In many cases, equipment with IECEx CoC contains separately certified components having separate IECEx CoCs. As explained in our article, Introduction to JPEx certification, IECEx CoCs for the Ex components are not valid in Japan by itself. As such, they must undergo JPEx conformity assessment procedures. In this light, applicant is required to submit relevant application documents related to these components as well.
Examples of such items include Ex cable glands, Ex blanking elements, batteries, transformers, etc.
